Lyrics

COLD, By JJ ROOTS
Verse 1

Well there’s a story, about the gritty view of life
Broken beats in the mean streets, where the devil hides his rhymes
Tales of woe always start the same, dark dreams link together cold chains
The weight of doom still echoes in my head
Still echoes in my head

Chorus

Begging with the Sugarman
Counting cracks in the cobblestone
Bleeding hearts begin to stain the streets
The fractured gather against the cold
Gather against the cold…

Verse 2

Drinking from the bottles, that slowly emptied him
Cloaked by the bitter night collecting them again
See the eyes of poverty, exposed and growing old
The sight of doom still echoes in my head
Still echoes in my head

Chorus

Begging with the Sugarman
Counting cracks in the cobblestone
Bleeding hearts begin to stain the streets
The fractured gather against the cold
Gather against the cold…

Bridge
Sixto is their prophet, a humble nest for tortured souls
We’re all coming from reality, and all his facts were cold
Yeah all these facts are COLD

Chorus x2

Begging with the Sugarman
Counting cracks in the cobblestone
Bleeding hearts begin to stain the streets
The fractured gather against the cold
Gather against the cold…

Begging with the Sugarman
Gathered against the cold…
